All breeders are different. Some are in it for money, greed, and to make their kennel name. And then there are those who do it out love for their breed. All Bedrock dogs are here because we enjoy the fun, loyal love of hunting dogs that can also be your best friend.
This is what your puppy gets when they come from us. First there mother is UTD on all vaccinations and worming. We feed her high quality dog food. Train her to hunt and be a good loving family member. Then we breed her to another Bedrock dog that is treated the same way. Some breeders don’t train all their females they use them for brood [bitches]. At bedrock Shorthairs all dogs have to be 18 months old or more and have hunted upland as well as water fowl. Then all dogs have to have good bloodlines as well as good family health history. Then we come to the puppies all pups have their tails docked and dew claws removed by my vet. Who then checks their vitals and stitches up their tails so they won’t get infected. Then the pups are handled in a way to help their owner in the field. We handle them so they are calm on their back in your hand and you can open there mouth handle their feet as well as anywhere on their body you may need to touch. So when you are out hunting and your bird dog jumps right into a cactus to get your quail he will let you pull out all those needles without a problem. Then we give all puppies a copy of the Sire and Dam’s 4 generation pedigree. All puppies are fully AKC registered to our kennel. So that when you get your pup it will be cheaper for you. All you would have to pay then would be the transfer fee if you want the dog in your name, and not the registration fee which is more than twice the fee. They also come with a written 24 month warranty for genetic defects. From the day they are born till the day they go home there has been a loud radio played. This is used to help transition them to their sound conditioning. This is also good for you the master in the first few days because when they start whining at night time just play some music and they stop whining sooner and then all together. Here comes my favorite part, you get lifelong training help for your dog as long you own a dog bread by Bedrock Shorthairs. Now try to get a breeder or trainer out there to do that! Finally you get a small bag of dog food to help transition your puppy to your food.
Now we only ask you one thing before you get one of our pups are you sure you can handle the responsibility of a German Shorthair Pointer. If you can’t answer that truthfully, do our dogs a favor and get all the info you need. The pounds are all full of pure bred dogs that people just weren’t ready for. If you would like I can tell you what to expect from a GSP, and if for any reason you can’t take care of your dog from us we will no questions asked take the dog back, but without a refund unless it is a puppy and within the first 30 days we will refund only half of your money from the purchase.
